How long have you been in business?
THE YEAR 2000! I did not have one pattern or antique doll before the year2000! My life was uncomplicated before 2000!
What inspired you to go into the vintage patterns (and dolls!) business?
I like dolls (a latent passion) as well as was in WalMart in the summertime of 2000 inHood River visiting, as well as the salesclerk told me about the Barbie dollpatterns as well as exactly how they were destroyed after 6 months … they then becamecollectible. I was hooked as well as started collecting from that moment on.Over 100,000 patterns in stock today …
What did you do before this?
I was a secretary for the Government, for the Railways, as well as I volunteered with the Lions Clubs.

My Marilyn Monroe as well as Elvis costume stitching patterns … doesn’t everybody like Marilyn as well as Elvis?
What do you dream about finding?
A storage facility or Quonset hut to put all these patterns as well as antique dolls andcostumes as well as vintage hats as well as belt buckles, toys, stuffed animals, vintagejewelry, 18 pattern data cabinets, 100,000 patterns, all my collectiblesall under one roofing system … now that would be organization!
What do you delight in many about working with patterns?Historic value … as well as since it is a link with my mother’s memory. Shehas quickly declined in the memory area at 85 as well as it is difficult to go to aparent everyday in a nursing house at times. We count pattern pieces together, as well as numerous patterns set off a memory. “Your aunt Nina made that attire for you when you were three … This is the 1950 coat as well as hat set pattern … I used that 1940s two piece peplum fit when I married your father …” as well as on as well as on.. It passes the time while we are visiting. I am sure all moms at one time sewed to survive. This is our link.
